Rabbi Yale New was born and raised in Atlanta,GA. He studied in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Israel and Detroit before receiving his Rabbinic ordination from the Rabbinical College of America in Atlanta. Rickelle New grew up in Melbourne, Australia where she volunteered as a teenager for the Friendship Circle. After graduation she continued studies in Tzfat, Israel. She then continued on to Detroit where she worked as a program and volunteer coordinator for friendship Circle of Michigan, before initiating Friendship Circle of Atlanta together with her husband, Rabbi Yale New, in December 2011. rickelle@fcatlanta.org

Sonia Hoffman is originally from Providence, Rhode Island, but has been living in Atlanta for 4 years. She is married with a 2.5 year old and twin 1.5 year olds, living in the Toco Hills community. Sonia is passionate about spreading the message that special needs children should be included and loved, just like everyone else. She is very excited to be working with Friendship Circle and hopes to bring a lot of fun and exciting new programs to the community! sonia@fcatlanta.org

 minah.pngMinah Yacher, Lead Behavioral Specialist

Minah has been teaching for 14 years, in both typical classes and special education, including mild, moderate, severe, and profound intellectual disabilities. This past school year she decided to leave the public sector and enter the private sector in order to help families on a more personal basis. She is starting her own business Help and Guidance for Special Needs. She wishes to help families in their own home or where ever they need it. Minah will be going back to school to become a behavior analyst so she can have additional knowledge related to ABA therapy, which she currently administers part time with a wonderful small business. In her spare time she enjoy anything outside including hiking, kayaking, swimming, and skiing. She also enjoy cooking and spending time with friends and family. Minah is excited to be working with such a wonderful organization. 

Adina Weissman, Art Therapist


 Adina is new to Atlanta, moving here with her husband in early 2018 from Teaneck New Jersey. After spending a year in Israel she  graduated with a Studio Art degree from Stern College. She has always loved working with children and integrating art recreationally and as a form of therapy.
