Meet The Staff


YALE.png Yale New, Executive Director

Rabbi Yale New was born and raised in Atlanta,GA. He studied in Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Israel and Detroit before receiving his Rabbinic ordination from the Rabbinical College of America in Atlanta. He initiated The Friendship Circle together with his wife Rickelle, in Decemeber 2011.

Rickelle New grew up in Melbourne, Australia where she volunteered as a teenager for the Friendship Circle. After graduation she continued studies in Tzfat, Israel. She then continued on to Detroit where she worked as a program and volunteer coordinator for friendship Circle of Michigan, before initiating Friendship Circle of Atlanta together with her husband, Rabbi Yale New, in December 2011.

Korie Kahn is originally from Long Island, New York, but has been living in Atlanta the majority of her life. She is newly married with a 5 month old son and living in Smyrna. Korie has a passion for working with individuals with special needs, and was a special needs middle school teacher until the recent birth of her son. She is very excited to be working with Friendship Circle, and following her dreams of helping to make a difference in the community.

Rebeccah Keeton has loved dance since starting lessons at the age of three in Buffalo, NY. She has been teaching dance around the Metro Atlanta Area since 1988 with many of her former students now working in dance-related fields. She has trained in and teaches all areas of dance, with tap being her favorite. Rebeccah hopes to develop the love and appreciation of dance in her students that was given to her by her first dance teacher, Helen Louise Peters.

Susan Horwitz was born and raised in Johannesburg South Africa. She arrived in Atlanta in 1993, where she worked as an executive assistant and office manager until she decided to open her own business. Susan sold her business after 13 years so she could spend more time with her family. She enjoys working with people and being involved in worthy causes.
